Like all of my photographic work, these photographs were 100% taken with my camera. The impressionistic transformations in my photographs were not created in Photoshop. But directly while taking the pictures. The artistic effects are based solely on the movements of the camera during the shooting. All photographs shown are based on a single shot, i.e. without double exposures. This technique is called FreeJazz Photography.
Giardino dei Tarocchi is a fantastic park near Garavicchio in the municipality of Capalbio in Tuscany, Italy. The park was designed by the French-American artist Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002) and realized since 1979 together with her husband Jean Tinguely and a creative team. The objects shown here are details. All objects by Niki de Saint Phalle are clearly designed and painted in the original. My images show sections of various sculptures in an artfully distorted version. See also Verzasca II, taken with the same technique.
